Our story
From a farmers’ fire company to a Valley institution.
We were chartered on May 3, 1832 as the Farmers Fire Insurance Company of Upper and Lower Saucon Township — neighbors pooling together to protect one another’s homes and barns. As the Valley grew, so did we.
Our business has always run on a simple premise: service to our policyholders, and support of our community. That premise hasn’t changed in nearly 200 years.
1832Chartered as the Farmers Fire Insurance Company of Upper & Lower Saucon Township.
1960Renamed Saucon Mutual Insurance Company.
2018Became Saucon Insurance Company, continuing as a Pennsylvania stock insurer.
